Disclaimer, I work for the company that sells these.
When we brought these in, we were concerned that many of the desks lamps out there offer design over functionality at a higher cost. I have this lamp on my work desk, and the large "paddle style" head provides additional bright light for my working area. This desk lamp is a good compromise between style and function; and we have tried to price this competitively against similar products.
Many of our employees have these on their desks.

gives plenty of light so far no problems. Easy to replace bulb but this type of bulbs last a long time.
