I hate this mouse padMay 19, 2011
By Alexander I bought this mouse pad from Fry's - sorry Amazon. But I hate it so much I want to share my pain so other can avoid this junk.
Why do I hate this? Because it is not flat. It curls up at the edges and then my mouse gets caught on those elevated edges. It was this way when it came out of the package and seems to have gotten worse over time.
So why did I chose this mouse pad in the first place? Because it has a hard surface which works well with my 3M ergo mouse. The soft surface mouse pads are difficult to use with the 3M mouse for some reason.
If I could find another hard surface mouse pad (that was all black preferably) that was thicker and therefore did not curl up I would be happy. But such a thing does not exist as far as I can tell.

Great in theory.Mar 04, 2010

Nice size, great tracking for optical mouse. Sticky on the backside wears off in weeks and pad begins to make a lot of noise.
Curls up at edgesJul 21, 2011
By john galt I bought two of these. Totally regret it. As soon as I took it out of the package (it was shrink-wrapped to a flat piece of cardboard), I noticed that one side of it was already starting to curl up.
I decided to give it a couple days of use to see if it would flatten out over time, though I didn't have high hopes given that it came packaged on a flat cardboard. It is actually getting worse with each passing day. It is now curled along all edges!
Avoid this piece of junk!

By V. Palomera As stated this mousepad is super thin. The only bad thing is that it is much larger than I expected it would be. I purchased it for use with my small mouse. But still works either way!
New design?Dec 15, 2010
By Andy Jai I believe they changed the design of the Ultra Thin Mousepad. I was using a white version of this mousepad, which is really thin with a rough surface and a silvery sticky back. I ordered this because I want the color black, but the mousepad that I got is totally different except it has the same size and pattern. The surface is now totally smooth and the thickness is at least doubled because the material they used is different, it now has a non-slip black rubber back.
I think they changed the material/thickness of this mousepad so it would solve the "mousepad curling up" and the "non-sticking" issues from the old design. The only reason I ordered this mousepad is because I really like the old rough surface, so I am pretty disappointed with the new smooth surface. I hope they will make one with the old rough surface with the new non-slip back.
