2IT CURLS UP AFTER A FEW MONTHSSep 09, 2009
By Greg Powers
The surface is the best mouse serface I have ever used. Very smooth and accurate. BUT.. the pad is so thin it curls up after a few months. It doesn't stay flat. So for a few months, it's a great pad, after a few months you have to throw it out because it becomes unusuable. Another anoying aspect of this pad is that it's round so your mouse constantly falls off the corner of the pad when it reaches a corder of the screen. Since the pad is round (but your screen is square) the mousepad and screen don't match up. But I could put up with this inconvenience if the pad didn't curl up into an unusable mess after a few months.

5Excellent low-cost mousepadOct 10, 2009
By Tony Polito "TonyPolito"
Excellent product.

So thin you won't even realize it's on your desk.

Peel-off protector on bottom reveals silvery material that is not sticky but still highly adhesive to the desktop. Doesn't budge a millimeter. So adhesive it's a bit of work to relocate it.

The subtle pattern works well for laser mouse tracking.

Also perfectly fits those round mousing platforms that swivel out from under-desk-mounted keyboards.

I use a black one at my office desk ... and I keep a second one in the case with the laptop.

At home, I have what is undoubtedly the slickest, highest-glide mousepad on Earth....the SteelSeries SX Black Anodized Aluminum Mouse Pad. You wouldn't think it, but it was worth every penny.

1Noisiest Mouse Pad EVER -- worked for a while, then bowed upFeb 04, 2010

Terrible product. At first I really liked it. It stuck well to my glass desktop. The action of the mouse was smooth. But a after a few weeks of use, I noticed that it started to make a noise. Then it sort of buckled up. Now it doesn't stay flat at all. A RIP OFF, IMHO.

2Good at First Had to Downgrade OpinionSep 04, 2009

I needed a new mouse pad for an additional computer recently bought. My wife and I did not care for any we already had. I found this at one of our local chain office-stores and decided to try it. Best mouse pad I've ever used in my over 25 years of using home computers, and my wife loves it. Unlike any other mouse pads I've used, they stay in place, don't slip around, but are quite easy to "peel off" and move if needed. They work great with our optical mice. They come in white, blue, and black. I just ordered four more to use with our other computers. List price is high, so shop around for best price.

Addendum (June 11, 2010): Downgraded from five stars to four. After peeling off a number of times to reposition the pad (or, as we have done, take them on travels with laptops), the pads lose their sticky property then tend to curl up and won't stay in place. Fortunately, our laser mice track well on most surfaces without any pad so these pads are not used as much now. But, if left in one place, they are still the best pads we've used.

Addendum (Jan 21, 2011): Downgraded from four stars to two. Though first impression was "these are really great," long term impression is "won't buy these again." If never moved (not likely) they are nearly perfect, especially because they are very thin so the edges don't chaff hands like regular mouse pads do. Unfortunately, after only a few changes in position, they will no longer lay flat nor stay in place. Finally had to give up on them and replace them with regular mouse pads (for two surfaces that were not suitable for our optical mice).
