so far it has lasted 2+ years with absolutely no wear, and i play many games, MMOs and FPS.
i have seen complaints on the black version about a smell but i have had no smell with the silver ones.
great mousepad if you use a low sensitivity and dont want to use some goofy looking "Gamer" mousepad.
i also use one for my printer and laptop so they dont scratch my desk.
if youre looking for a good quality extremely large mousepad, youve found it

I use an iMac. 27" screen. Lots of screen area to cover with a mouse. A regular pad was too small and I was always moving it or re positioning the mouse when tracking and moving pointer on the 27" screen. This huge pad covers a big area of my desk. Like 4+ pads in one. Thick, not thin, rubber underside with cloth top for smooth mouse control. No plastic. All cloth material with sturdy say-put rubber underside. Lays totally flat. No ripples or wrinkles. Very well made. No cloth threads hanging or no splitting threads on the edges. Perfectly cut. I would NEVER go back to a standard sized mouse pad no matter what the cute picture or design was on the pad. This is THE PAD !!! Comes in a tube, but the pad unfolds to lay totally flat with no turned up edges. Stays put, no sliding or skidding around on the desk. Like i said... THIS IS THE PAD !

Nice, large rubber-backed mouse pad in gray. The price was about right. Shipped on a box similar width as the mouse pad, so it lays flat and not rolled up. It's lovely :)

This thing is huge! Plenty of room for your cursor using a 23+ and larger monitor. No more picking up your mouse. This is also a must if you're into playing PC games. I definitely recommend this!

This is one of those purchases that you make thinking it will just help out a little bit, but once you have it you wonder how you did without it.
The first pro is obvious... the size. If you've only used a 'standard' mouse pad you'll think this one is too big... until you use it. For those that have multiple monitors it's perfect because you can finally mouse all the way across two screens in one movement. No more picking up the mouse! You can manage across more screens as well if you adjust your mouse tracking a bit.
I also use it frequently for minor repairs of laptops and other equipment. It's great for cleaning your laptop screen because you can open your laptop and put the screen down flat on this pad, give the screen a good cleaning and never have to worry about scratching your nice new toy!
Truth be told I own a few of these and whenever someone from the office comes in to see me, one of the first things they notice is this pad. Their eyes light up and it's always the same question... "Where can I get one of those?!"
