Doesn't work well - Heed other reviews!Sep 04, 2010 Silly me. I read all the reviews on this unit, but loved the design so much that I still bought it. It was so cheap I figured I'll get something else if it doesn't work. And well, here I am wanting something else to replace it.
My advice is heed the other negative reviews of this product. It is true this thing (which main function is to STICK) doesn't work on hard vinyl dashboards. It will fly off your dash if making a sharp turn or very quick acceleration!
On soft vinyl which I tried on another car we own, appears to work fine. So if you have a car with soft vinyl you should be okay.
The design of the unit other than that is pretty cool in that it's sleek, and molds to the shape of the dash.
Sticky pad does not stickAug 25, 2010 I have a Honda Civic and I used this on the dash board, did okay for few days and started to fall off, "Sticky pad does not stick"
better than windshield mountingJun 10, 2010 For more than 3 years I had my Nuvi attached to the windshield. The problem was the summer heat, causing it to fall off frequently, and destroying the suction cups. So far, I have not had that problem with the pad. In addition, the pad is very stable on the dashboard.

dash mat for sat navMay 13, 2010 This worked great for a few months but then lost it's stickiness. It still holds our Garmin but the whole thing slides around under aggressive acceleration or maneuvering, sending it all tumbling into your lap. I have heard you can wet the backing and revive its tackiness. We haven't tried that yet. It seems very durable but my wife tried to stuff it in the console and when she closed the lid on it the mat ripped. It may have gotten cut by the lid, we're not sure. I do like the fact that it didn't leave any marks or residue on the dash.

GPS mounting deviceMay 06, 2010
This product works as advertised and was a Godsend. It solved a big problem I had with using my GPS comfortably. Plus it eliminates those ugly tell-tale circles if you mount the GPS on the windshield.
