Description:

Be ready to be amazed. Nothing is quite eye-opening like taking your notebook off the desk and dramatically improving your viewing angle. By elevating your laptop, you'll change the way you sit at your desk. Instead of hunched over your laptop, bending down over the desk to type, you'll find yourself relaxing back in your chair. You'll find yourself comfortably looking forward instead of cricking your neck down to see the screen. The further you raise the stand, the more you'll sit back, relax, and enjoy. With six elevation settings, you can adjust the stand to your specific needs. A separate USB keyboard and mouse (sold separately) are a great addition to using the stand. If the notebook is in the lower elevation settings, you can still easily type on the keyboard. As an added bonus, the Laptop Stand sports a 4-port USB hub so you can connect a USB-enabled keyboard and other accessories while keeping your notebook free from the clutter of multiple cables. Hid out of the way, the USB hub can be detached from the back of the laptop stand for easy access. Simply slide the hub back into its holster when finished.

UPDATED: You do not need an external power supply. You plug the included USB cord into your laptop and your laptop acts as the power supply to power the USB hubs as well as the two fans. This allows you to use it as a docking station and connect an external monitor to your laptop. Add an external keyboard and mouse and you have a great docking stand with fans.

Light weight, durable, easy to use

Adjustable stand lifts laptop up

USB hub to connect other devices such as keyboard and mouse

2Missing components: may not work out of the box!Dec 11, 2008

I chose this laptop stand because it offered a USB hub and I wanted to plug my external mouse and keyboard into it (ran out of USB ports on my laptop.) The unit as shipped has a power port, but DOES NOT come with a power adapter for the USB hub. This means that if your keyboard or mouse requires powered USB, you will not be able to use the hub straight out of the box. The instructions say: "Please do not put any wrong power supplies for the laptop stand, if need external power, connect with 5V/2A power adapter, thanks!" I'm very unimpressed with the misrepresentation of this product.

5I love it. What a great device!Jun 06, 2008

This product is fantastic! I showed it to everyone around the office that uses a notebook at their desk. I had them sit in my chair to see the difference. This stand helps me sit back in my chair. Prior to getting the stand, I would lean in, hunched over my notebook, and type making my eyes, shoulders, and back very tired.

Now I sit back in my chair relieving the pressure off my back. My eyes don't get as tired because the notebook is at eye level and I can sit back in my chair.

I'm still able to type while using the stand without a USB or wireless keyboard. I keep it on the lowest setting to be able to type.

The front lip that holds the notebook gets in the way a little bit of my laptop's touch pad, so I use an extra mouse.

The stand is very sturdy. If I push back on the notebook, it's not in danger of tipping over, and I use a large 17" notebook. I had seen other stands and worried about them not being sturdy enough or my notebook accidentally falling off, but this stand is much, much better.

I recommend getting a mouse and keyboard to use while the notebook is in the stand. It will make it easier to type although on the lowest elevation setting, you can still type on the notebook keyboard.

5Great comfort boosterJun 06, 2008

You have not lived if you haven't had the opportunity to use this laptop stand! It makes all of the difference in the world, it lets you adjust the placement of your laptop's screen to the position that is most comfortable and easy on your eyes. The array of different positions is great. This product is taken advantage of fully when you are using a full size keyboard and a real mouse with your notebook. This allows you to put the screen of the computer at a more even level with your eyes reducing strain upon them. Then you are able to sit back in your chair with your back straight and in a more comfortable position. In the long run this could mean the difference of a painful, interrupted night of sleep as compared to a peaceful, rejuvenating nights sleep. This is a must have product if you work in an office daily and have to use your notebook excessively. This makes your notebook feel more like a desk top PC.

5Great for the priceOct 29, 2009

I just got this the other day and wanted to add some information to my review which I did not find when evaluating the product. First, the stand is very sturdy and fits my 14" screen laptop as well as my 16" screen laptop with no problem. There are a couple of pads in the area where the laptop rests which keep the laptop from slipping around. Second, the stand has a 4-port attached USB 2.0 hub and comes with a cable to connect the hub to an open USB port on your laptop. The placement of the USB hub on the back of the stand works well for me because I have a keyboard/mouse controller, 2 printers and and a VOIP headset and the wires stay out of the way now. As far as the USB hub not coming with a power cord, that is true. However, this is fairly common as most USB hubs are bus powered. As I said, what comes in the box works perfectly for me. Finally, it comes completely assembled out of the box. I love it and would recommend it to anyone looking for this kind of stand.

4Don't get for the USBMay 31, 2010
By James Chavez "King James"
Great laptop holder, but the USB splitter doesn't come with a power adapter and it slowed everything down. I'd rather plug everything into my laptop each time.
Another thing that bugged me was that every time i went to unplug something from the hub, it would slide out of the tracks. quite annoying if using a thumb drive...
