This is a major piece of junk. I'm not sure where the people who gave this thing any positive comments got theirs but the one I received should have been thrown in the garbage...not packaged for sale. If it wasn't such a pain in the butt to return something to Amazon, I would get my money back...but I don't want to wait a month for my money.
For starters it was missing a nut on the bottom of the bigger board. The cheap vinyl "wood veneer" is peeling around the edges. None of the bolts fit properly...just thinking about the extremely poor workmanship on this thing irritates me...good thing I know how to make things work.
I should have listened to my gut feeling when I noticed the product seller listed as American Covers, Inc. or is it Handstands??? Whichever it is...they need to stop selling junk like this to people.
Save your money...and a headache...do not buy this thing!!!

I bought this, thinking it was like the well constructed, high quality original wood and steel product which I had several years ago (gave away when I had to move, else I'd still have it). I checked, and it is still available at skymall.com. This one is not real wood, but something cheap, covered over with contact paper of wood grain design. Every part is inferior to the original.
Only 2 of 4 wheels lock. Worst of all is that, whereas the original was fully adjustable on both sides, the small side of this one rides up and down with the larger side, and does not tilt.
I had no issues with hole alignment, but the tiny wrench for the wheel bolt is worthless. You will need regular pliers.
I doubt this product was ever sold at the original price. I think it's a lie to get you to think this is the real deal.
Consider this product if you can't afford the original, and can't find it used; but, do look around, as you can probably do better than this product at a similar price.

Arrived in used condition. Wood was already well scratched beyond the gloss to see the raw wood. Assembly would have been reasonable had it not been for the screws barely fitting into the holes, one I still can't screw in. Wasted hr and a half just trying to screw the thing in. Height adjustment is poor, doesn't go high enough, I have an adjustable bed barely rises high enough. WORST PART-- DOES NOT GO FULLY OVER MY BODY ON THE BED. I STILL HAVE TO CRANE MY NECK TO THE RIGHT BECAUSE THE BASE WON'T GO FAR ENOUGH UNDER THE BED. Laptop table is small. I have a 17" monitor and it barely fits on the main table.
Wheels, what wheels? Horrible, crummy wheels. If you want to save your laptop from crashing to the floor, pick up the laptop table to move it rather than roll it or it will tip.
This is better than the winsome wood table also for sale but that's not saying much--screws and tools came completely rusted, no holes where there should be, wood in bad condition.
Still it's not enough. You would think this should be easy to manufacture. If there were another brand I knew was good, I would return this.

I received, assembled about 90% of it. the longer screws for the vertical shaft did not fit the threads of the shaft. Sure... if you had something to force it, you can do that and probably get it to work, but the bigger problem was that one of the wheels couldn't screw into the thread because the horrible soldering got into the hole, covering the threads. Making it IMPOSSIBLE to get the wheel in. had to call in to return it. Horrible quality control. Can't believe they shipped out this POS. They should at least test if things can screw in before packaging it.
